Everyone is Still So F***ing Angry
Why Everyone’s Still So F***ing Angry
Anger is easy. It’s natural. It’s even justified — sometimes. But the problem today isn’t that we’re angry. It’s that we’re constantly angry. Performatively angry. Addicted to anger.
And the worst part? We’re not even sure why anymore.
In 2020, I joked on my podcast that I was angry my spinach went bad. It got a laugh. But it was real. And today, not much has changed — except the stakes are higher.
Political season? Rage-fueled.
Social media? Anger-as-identity.
Daily life? One inconvenience away from a meltdown.
We’ve turned anger into a hobby. A persona. And while it may give us a burst of energy, it’s also quietly draining our capacity for joy, connection, and sanity.
So I turned it off. Not my emotions — but the platforms feeding them. I stopped doomscrolling. Cut the news to once a day. Deleted apps I didn’t need. It didn’t solve everything, but I could breathe again.
If you feel like the whole world’s gone mad, you’re not wrong. But here’s the truth: you can opt out. You can choose sanity. You can choose curiosity over outrage, understanding over performance.
Try it for a week. Then tell me you’re not happier.
